Once complete, you’ll receive a FENSA certificate: an important document to keep safe, as you’ll need it if you ever sell your home. Worth flagging: a lot of UK guides quote “around £4,500” as an average for an aluminium bi-fold, but that figure includes fitting and a wider mix of sizes. Our 3000mm bi-fold doorset supplied to your door is £2,799 inc VAT. If you have a fitter lined up, that’s the like-for-like number to compare.

These are internal-use only — no U-value or weather sealing — so don’t confuse them with our external Heritage range.

What affects the price of an aluminium door?
A few honest variables to keep in mind when comparing quotes:
- Size. The biggest single driver. A 3600mm bi-fold has roughly twice the materials and glass area of a 1800mm unit.
- Number of panes / configuration. Bi-folds with more leaves, or sliding doors with more tracks, cost more.
- Colour and finish. Dual-colour or non-standard RAL finishes typically command a small uplift across the industry.
- Glazing upgrades. Triple glazing, solar-control glass and obscured units add cost. Our standard spec is 28mm warm-edge double glazing with Low-E.
- Hardware spec. Smart Systems profiles include high-security multi-point locking as standard on our external ranges.
- Installation complexity. If you’re being quoted supplied-and-fitted, ground-floor straight swaps are cheap. Knock-throughs, steel lintels, and rear-extension openings are not.
