About our Fd30 glazed fire doors

Seven styles, all pre-glazed before they leave the factory. The fire-rated glass panels are already fitted — along with intumescent glazing seals — so there’s nothing to add on-site. Oak prefinished and white primed finishes, covering flush, shaker, 7-panel, and ladder layouts. They work in hallways, communal spaces, garage-to-house openings, and any other area where both light and fire protection matter.

The glass meets the same FD30 standard as the door: tested to hold for at least 30 minutes at high temperatures without shattering or letting fire and smoke through. Prices run from £292.00 to £610.00, VAT included. Installation gaps must be 3mm at the sides and top and 8-10mm at the bottom. Fire-rated frames and certified ironmongery are required. Doors must be checked every six months. Free delivery to mainland UK.

FAQs

Can internal fire doors have glass?

Yes. The glass in a fire door must be fire-rated — tested to the same FD30 standard as the door itself, and factory-fitted with intumescent glazing seals. All glazed fire doors in our range are pre-glazed: glass panels and seals are already installed when you receive them.

What is the difference between FD30 and FD30S fire doors?

FD30 gives 30 minutes of fire integrity. FD30S adds smoke resistance on top of that. The S means the door has smoke brushes and cold smoke seals that stop smoke passing through the door gaps before temperatures rise high enough for the intumescent strips to activate. FD30S is needed on escape routes: hallways, corridors, stairwells.

How much are glass fire doors?

From £292.00 for the Oak Flush 1 Lite Clear Glazed to £610.00 for the White Primed Chunky Shaker 1 Lite Clear Glazed. All prices include VAT with free mainland UK delivery.

Can a fire exit door be glazed?

Yes, and it often is. Glazed panels on fire exit doors let people check the corridor is clear before opening — which matters in an actual emergency. Standard practice in commercial buildings, schools, hotels, and public buildings. The glazing must be fire-rated and the full door assembly must meet the required standard. Our range covers light commercial use as well as residential.
