Our Fire Doors Range
White, oak, black, shaker, cottage, 4 panel, internal glazed fire doors, prefinished. Every style in our range is FD30 certified to BS 476 Part 22 or EN 1634-1, which means at least 30 minutes of fire and smoke resistance. Pick from unfinished, primed, or fully finished depending on your project.
The 35mm fire doors are worth knowing about if you have an older property. Standard fire doors are 44mm thick. Our 35mm range is manufactured to match standard non-fire-rated door thickness, so they drop into existing 35mm frames without any frame modifications. That matters in period homes where altering the frames isn’t practical.
All prices include VAT. Free delivery to mainland UK, a 10-year warranty, and bulk discounts on larger orders. Contact our team if you need help choosing.
Frequently Asked Questions
Can a 35mm door be a fire door?
Yes. 35mm fire doors go through the same independent testing as standard 44mm fire doors, certified to BS 476 Part 22 and EN 1634-1. Our Cottage White Prefinished 35mm (£172.00 inc. VAT) and Cottage Oak Prefinished 35mm (£249.00 inc. VAT) both carry full FD30 certification and are made for properties where existing frames are built to 35mm dimensions.
Are all fire doors 44mm?
No. Most are, but 35mm fire doors exist for situations where a 44mm door won’t fit without altering the frame. Same FD30 protection, slimmer profile. If your frames are 35mm, that’s the range to look at.
What size do internal fire doors come in?
Standard UK sizes are 1981mm x 762mm, 1981mm x 686mm, and 1981mm x 610mm. Some styles also come in 2040mm x 726mm. Check the individual product listing for exact width options, since not every style comes in every size.
Do my internal doors need to be fire doors?
Not all of them. UK Building Regulations require fire doors in homes with three or more storeys, between a house and an integral garage, in HMOs, and in communal areas of blocks of flats. Our guides section covers the specifics — or contact our team if you’re unsure about your property.
What is the difference between a fire door and an interior door?
A standard interior door separates rooms. That’s all it does. A fire door is a certified assembly, solid engineered core, intumescent seals, FD30 fire-rated hinges and latch, all tested together, rated to hold back fire and smoke for at least 30 minutes. Fire doors are typically 44mm thick. Standard doors are 35mm.
How much does a fire door cost UK?
From £126.00 for smooth moulded white panel designs. 35mm fire doors start at £172.00. Premium glazed options go above £600.00. All prices include VAT with free delivery to mainland UK.
